1. Acceptance of Terms
These Terms & Conditions govern your use of the TDOT Kitchen & Cabinets website and any quote, design, purchase or installation agreement you enter into with us. By requesting a consultation, accepting a quote, or otherwise engaging our services, you agree to be bound by these terms. If you disagree with any part of them, please raise it with us before work begins — we’re happy to talk it through.
2. Our Services
TDOT Kitchen & Cabinets designs, fabricates and installs custom cabinetry and millwork, including kitchens, vanities, closets, bars, countertops, entertainment units, and commercial millwork for pharmacies, clinics and other businesses. All work is measured, quoted and built specifically for your space — nothing is sold as a stock or pre-built item unless explicitly agreed otherwise.
3. Quotes & Pricing
Every project starts with a free consultation and an on-site or in-shop measurement. The quote we provide after that is based on the materials, dimensions and scope discussed at the time. That price is fixed once you approve it in writing, and won’t change unless:
- You request a change to materials, dimensions, or scope after approval
- Site conditions turn out to be materially different from what was measured or disclosed (for example, structural issues found once work has started)
Any change that affects price will be confirmed with you in writing before we proceed.
4. Deposits & Payment
A deposit is required to confirm your project and begin fabrication, with the balance due on or before installation, unless we’ve agreed to a different schedule in writing. Accepted payment methods will be confirmed at the time of quoting. Invoices are due within the timeframe stated on the invoice; overdue balances may delay scheduling of remaining work until the account is settled.
5. Project Timelines
Timelines provided at quoting are estimates based on typical fabrication and installation schedules. They can shift due to custom material availability, the scope of a project, or changes requested after approval. We’ll keep you updated if a timeline changes and won’t leave a project stalled without telling you why.
6. Client Responsibilities
To keep your project on schedule, we ask that you:
- Provide accurate site access and any information relevant to measuring or installing your project
- Respond to design approvals and material selections in a reasonable timeframe
- Ensure the installation area is reasonably clear and accessible on the agreed install date
- Flag any known site issues (plumbing, electrical, structural) before work begins where possible
7. Warranty
We stand behind our workmanship. Any defect in materials or installation that shows up under normal use will be repaired or corrected at no cost to you, for the period specified in your project’s warranty documentation. Warranty coverage does not extend to damage from misuse, neglect, unauthorized modification, or normal wear and tear over time. Specific warranty terms vary by material and will be reviewed with you during your consultation.
8. Cancellations & Changes
You may request to cancel or change a project before fabrication begins; deposits may be partially or fully non-refundable depending on the design and sourcing work already completed at that point. Once custom materials have been ordered or fabrication has started, cancellation may not be possible without a cost to cover work and materials already committed. We’ll always tell you plainly where a project stands before you decide.
9. Design & Intellectual Property
Design concepts, drawings and layouts we prepare for your project remain our intellectual property until the project is paid in full. Once a project is complete and paid, the design is yours to keep for your own records, but we retain the right to photograph and use images of completed work for our own marketing and portfolio, unless you ask us not to.
10. Limitation of Liability
We carry out our work with care and to industry standards. To the extent permitted by law, TDOT Kitchen & Cabinets is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your project, beyond the cost of correcting defective work covered under warranty. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under Ontario consumer protection law that cannot be waived.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. When we do, we’ll revise the effective date at the top of this page. Terms in effect at the time you approve a quote are the terms that apply to that project.
